Inside the Mobile App
In this chapter we explore how content setup in Spaaza’s Console is presented in the app. Changes made in console should immediately be reflect after a pull-down refresh in the app.
What Happens if you “Tap” on an Item?
Each item within a zone can have an action attached to it. By default, clicking on a campaign opens its detail page. Items can also be configured to perform other actions, such as opening an external website in an embedded view within the app or displaying a hosted PDF file.
In the near future it will also be possible to make tapping an item navigate to any custom page you have defined through Spaaza’s console. Opening the Detail Page
Every item in a zone is associated with a detail page. By default, the detail page displays the item’s “card” layout type at the top, with space for additional information below. This detailed information can be added or modified by updating the “Notes” field in the Campaign Edit Form for the corresponding campaign. Campaign-specific information or extra interaction for a campaign is displayed on the detail page.

Campaign type basket: these are displayed in large tile format on top.

Banner layout type: detail page will have the banner image on top.

Campaign type wallet (points/monetary/entries): wallet campaigns will have the campaign displayed as a card on top, then below the notes and below this the wallet ledger.

Default: all other campaign types or display type combinations are displayed in card layout type on top and have the “notes” field below this.

Opening External Website / Hosted PDF**
The app can open any website inside of a view within the app. It also supports displaying PDFs that are hosted on websites, for instance, for advertising brochures. Relevant Fields in Console’s Campaign Form for Mobile App

Tapping on an item can be set up to navigate to any page created in the content management setup of Spaaza’s console. This is a feature being implemented in Spaaza console and available shortly (#1 Future Work)
Display of Vouchers
A lot of campaigns issue rewards in the form of vouchers. These can be used for discounts on checkout baskets or specific products. Vouchers can be placed anywhere in the app on request. (#7 Future Work)
Navigation Tabs on Deals Page
There are certain special elements that are not campaigns themselves. One of them is the tags/tabs that you see on the Deals page. These can be used as extra navigation options to, for instance, display sub-pages, such as a sub-page of your deals that displays all your deals related to drinks or snacks. There are sub-pages such as “deals-food” or “deals-drinks” that can be found in Spaaza’s console currently. (#8 Future Work)

Current Console Campaigns Supported by the Mobile App
Some campaign types may not yet have all their required visual elements fully implemented in the app. However, rest assured that all campaigns set up through the Spaaza Console will still run seamlessly. When the campaign type does not have the required visual elements fully implemented, the app defaults to a standard UI style for those campaigns. Notify by forehand if this is the case.
